Howdy, I'm Nick.
I'm a digital multimedia artist which just means I do lots of different stuff like graphic design, animation, and websites, but it's all on the computer. I probably know or have taught a class on the creative software you use, but really all that's gotten me is a poor shrimp-like posture. While I like the hustle and bustle of learning new things, I'm looking to settle down with a nice company or non-profit so they can just ask me to make stuff instead of a bunch of different freelancers and creative agencies.
Basically, I just wanna make cool stuff and stay out of your hair while doing it. For 10 years, that desire lead to being able to contribute 3D character animation to big global brands like Barbie and Paw Patrol. I've also been fortunate enough to teach students at Conestoga and Humber College the things I've learned, and spent a year teaching people animation and streaming during the pandemic which resulted in millions of views. I also help run Skills Ontario and Skills Canada's 2D and 3D animation competitions. My wife says I work too hard. I'm working on it.
If I'm not hunched over my computer, I'm probably hunched over my guitar or playing some nerd game like Pokemon TCG. I also play video games, but not online because my ego can't handle paying $12/month to be defeated by children.
